LL-37 is a synthetic 37-amino-acid peptide belonging to the cathelicidin family, widely utilised in research of immunology, microbiology, and cellular interaction studies. 

It is commonly evaluated in controlled laboratory environments for its unique cationic structure, broad-spectrum interaction profiles, and its role in innate immune system mechanisms. LL-37 is the only human cathelicidin-derived peptide to date.
